The building construction kits consisted of pre-coloured plastic parts, as favoured by the continental manufacturers of the time. They were sold in the familiar red and black cardboard boxes with instructions and featured a coloured paper insert with curtains etc printed on it, where appropriate. There was no glue with the kits and only rudimentary instructions. Despite the number and range of kits they are difficult to come by. After the demise of Playcraft, Jouef continued to market the plastic kits but after about 1971 Jouef began making their own. A number of the buildings were available under the Pola label for many years. Some are still sold today. |
