Welcome to the Playcraft Railways web site
This site is devoted to Playcraft Model Railways. This small range of 2-rail 12v DC HO scale (3.5mm / Foot) model trains were manufactured in France by Jouef and sold in the UK by Playcraft Toys Ltd. They made a brief foray into the British market between 1961 and 1969. A number of the models survived in Jouef's own range of predominantly French prototypes until well into the 1970's. Jouef also produced a much sought after 009 narrow-gauge series under the Playcraft banner called 'Decauville'
